Catharine Kemp-Roth has a B. Mus from University of Calgary, where she studied under Marilyn Engle and Charles Foreman. Next she travelled to Victoria to work with May-Ling Kwok and Winifred Scott Wood. She completed an AVCM (Piano Pedagogy) at the Victoria Conservatory where she was later hired and taught piano, kindergarten piano and group piano. Her students have won provincial and national awards, and a few are currently concertizing in Europe. For the past fifteen years, she has also taught in Colwood, working with the Music For Young Children program. She has worked as an accompanist and a soloist in the Victoria area, and also has done clinics for other teachers with her Healthy Piano Program.
